Our Story

Welcome to Pasture Pride Cheese, a charming cheese and gift shop nestled in the heart of Cashton. Known as the Home of the Award-Winning Juusto Cheese, our shop is built on over 40 years of experience in the cheese industry and strong partnerships with the local Amish community. After decades of owning and working within the cheese business, we proudly opened our own storefront to share the very best of Wisconsin’s dairy heritage, artisan craftsmanship, and heartfelt hospitality with visitors from near and far.

Our Juusto Cheese has earned prestigious recognition, including honors at competitions in Burlington and multiple Best of Class awards in 2015, 2016, 2017, and again at the 2022 Championship Cheese Contest. The timing could not have been better… right inside the door was a clearance display with $1 packages of cheese. We honestly felt like we hit the cheese jackpot! We already love their Juusto and all their specialty cheeses, but every visit is more than just shopping. The store is always welcoming, the staff is friendly, and it’s packed with unique goodies you don’t find in a typical grocery store. If you’re anywhere near Cashton, it’s absolutely worth the stop. A birthday treat turned into one of the highlights of our day — and yes, we left with a LOT more cheese than we planned 😄
